how on earth did you get the sky to echo the shape of your hill! Fantstic compo and the blue's of the sky have converted beautifully in b/w. mal
Oh geesh, another likey for me! What an outstanding picture, Jose!
Looks way better with the top 10% or so chopped out.
Audacious framing.
Very nice!
This is an outstanding picture, I came across your blog, but I am impressed by the great difference in pictures and moods in them, this B&W is just stunning, I like what you are doing.
The conversion to mono has bought out the texture of the foreground grass very well indeed and those whispy clouds look good.
I'm inclined to agree with Dave about the crop which would take out that black strip across the top.
the sky is like a mirror of the hill. very nice work.
I love the way the grasses echo the clouds, helped by the subtle tonality.
Jose, a beautiful photograph..very emotive.
A touch off the top and it is even better. Lovely shot
I'm with the crop the top crew - but I could tell from the thumbnail that thid was a stunning landscape shot and I wasn't disappointed. First class Jose ;o)
Very dramatic shot. I like
wow, that is a stunning image, all i can say
All I can say is....gaddamn!!!
A grand landscape Jose, looks good in B&W.
I think the "other-worldliness" you are aiming for is better served with the black, mysterious yonder left in at the top- I'm happy with the crop! Love the textures and tones, and edgy framing of a glimpse up the coast.
How stron is this picture.. I do like it !
You know I'm one of your biggest fans, Jose-Ann. I'm glad I didn't miss this today (after arriving home in Atlanta last evening).
This is quite a surprise, but then it shouldn't be because I'm used to your pictures being 'different' and also very good. Can't put my finger on what I like though, need to think.
Works very well in B&W. Really like this.
Love this shot. Powerful. Lots of highly interesting shots on your archive too.
