Summer Gone
Such a grey, wet, miserable day, I found myself hankering after the summer gone.

Beautiful. I'm missing summer days as well. This was a nice reminder of the warmth of the sun.
pixelpixie: Pleased you like it Red Pen, glad it brought back the sunshine.
What a great picture! How did you take this one, Jose? Did you superimpose two images?
pixelpixie: Thank-you! I've posted the original images for you here - http://pixelpixie.shutterchance.com/photoblog/For_Kay-Working_images_for_%A3!;dquote%A3!;Summer_Gone%A3!;dquote%A3!;_/
- it's the previous slot, with a little description of what I did. Hope you give it a go!
OMG, Jose-Ann. That's wonderful!!
pixelpixie: Thanks very much Ginnie, this one really makes me feel good and it was a lovely day

pixelpixie: Thanks very much Ferdi.
(I've posted how I did it now on the previous post page.)
What a beauty...did I say beauty? It is a LIKEY
pixelpixie: Thank-you!
very cool Pixie, beautiful in fact. mal
pixelpixie: I'm a little biased cos I know that figure there and she is so, so beautiful.
Great creativity. I second Zebigleb.
pixelpixie: Thank-you so much Black Pearl!
Thirds, layers and DOF....pretty smart..like the format as well!
pixelpixie: Thank-you so much David! Must admit it took a good few attempts to achieve this and I wasn't entirely convinced I'd got it right but it must be okay cos I've never had an image Likeyed so much before!
summer of love. fantastic composition. i think i can hear jefferson airplane or white rabbit in the background
pixelpixie: Hi and thanks Neal. Hope all is going well with you. I just love it when you add the sense of sound to these images, it makes them even more tangible.
I've just looked at the two images. This is the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. I love this and it's joining my likeys
pixelpixie: That's a lovely thing to say Bill, thank-you!
Magical photograph! I love what you have done. (:o)
pixelpixie: Thank-you Rosalyn. I loved doing it, while working with the images I was re-immersed in that day and so enjoyed it.
one of your best, which is saying something!
pixelpixie: Thank-you! I really wasn't expecting the response this image has received. It was a rather personal thing, this recapturing of a memory, and I didn't expect it to be as meaningful to others. Thank-you!
Very nicely done, Jose. The composition is perfect and it just tells a bittersweet story.
Also, I applaud you for so willingly sharing your techniques!
pixelpixie: Thank-you Kathryn, bittersweet is so apt. I've learned so much here on Shutterchance that if I can give something back, then I'm happy. Look forward to seeing what you do with it
That works really well, excellent!
pixelpixie: Cheers Nigel. Took a look at your website and you have a great stock of macro flower imagery. Lovely work.
Fine work Jose
pixelpixie: Thanks very much Chris! You still lost in space?!
What a beautiful image, and so like it's creator in nature. Sorry I was away yesterday and have only seen it now- an absolute gem, and the work of a genuine artist- this is what photography should be about. Be proud.
pixelpixie: Your comment pleases me so, so much, thank-you David! Playing around to arrive at this has set me off on a new path I think. The trouble is, I have to embark upon building a bank of imagery now to realise them.
I really like your sandwiches.
pixelpixie: Danke schön Peaceman! You have a great blog - I'll be back!
Incredible manipulation. Love the daisies. Congratulations on blog of the week. If not for that I may not have found your site.
