My Picture of Joe (Bloggs)

This was shot in a studio against a black velvet background, using a wide angle lens on my Mamiya and me being perched on top of some step ladders. In Photoshop, I condensed the head a little - I wanted a slightly odd effect but not enough to be so obvious and then used Max Black's portrait technique to finish.

very nice. I like
This is a startling perspective. I like this portrait!
Cracking good shot, that like so many of yours seems to ask the viewer some questions- and I'm getting very envious of your bulging equipment bag! That Mamiya turns out some beauts!! smile
It's useful having DJ's tutorials on technique too isn't it?!

You certainly have the knack to capture the unusual, and this picture shows that. I like it smile
Captivating. Human, with a sense of the fantastical. I particularly like the eyes and the little shoes peeking out at the bottom.
Excellent depth of field here...I really like this a lot! I always say that a good photographer should have a ladder hanging aroundsmile
Very nice Portrait, Lovely composition, Well Done smile

This is going into my Likeys! Love it. You know your picture makes this little girl look somewhat like Dakota Manning!

Wonderful technique that I need/want to learn. smile
very very very well done. masterpiece!!!! for my slr mind, 90 mm on the mamiya is like a 20 mm on a slr?

Really great shot Jose. It is so easy to imagine this shot being used as advertising material for one of those comedy movies, kids on the run, evil sister and so on. Excellent work. Kind regards, Neil.
Well done this is really nice.
