One Heart

I love this poem by Wendy Cope - it's just so true to life!

Bloody Men

Bloody men are like bloody buses-

You wait for about a year
And as soon as one approaches your stop
Two or three others appear.
You look at them flashing their indicators,
Offering you a ride.
You're trying to read the destinations,
You haven't much time to decide.
If you make a mistake, there is no turning back.
Jump off, and you'll stand there and gaze
While the cars and the taxis and lorries go by
And the minutes, the hours, the days.

Wendy Cope

I love the light catching the one heart- how long did you spend cutting all those shapes grin And the verse,.. well... as a male I couldn't possibly comment!
pixelpixie: It's confetti. Of course you can't comment, this is about the chancy business of romance!

Glad I'm not a typical man! wink
pixelpixie: I've been without my car for a few days and I've had to use the buses. And it's true. I've waited and waited and no bus, so I decide to walk to the next stop and three pass me by! I think the title is misleading, it's actually about finding romance or the right romance. smile

I hope i never flashed my indicators when i was approaching women. I really like the metaphor here Jose. seems to apply to women as much as men i think too. nice composition
pixelpixie: Lol! You're absolutely right. grin

pixelpixie: Just a little fun you understand! wink
